I swear.. ok,maybe kind of promise.. that I could get ready in half the time if I never tried to use liquid eyeliner ever again. I’ll spend forever getting it pretty good and then without fail, I’ll decide to make it a little thicker which undoubtedly ruins it. I saw this on Pinterest and it made me feel better that there are other girls who have the same struggle:
Well, I think I’ve found the “holy grail” of easy to use liquid eyeliners. The Blinc Ultrathin Liquid Eyeliner Pen supposedly has the thinnest, most precise brush in the world and while I don’t know if that’s true or not, I do know that it has made my life much easier. It’s also waterproof and let me tell you, they mean it. Last in week in Key West I went swimming with Ricki and when I came up from the water I was expecting to have black circles around my eyes that would scare small children, but thankfully that stuff didn’t move. It’s perfect for the days that you just want a thin, clean line but it’s also you can also build it up, so you can get as “Amy Winehouse-esque” as you like.
And if you still need some extra help, I found this scotch tape trick on Pinterest and believe it or not, it actually works! Just be sure to put the tape on your hand a few times to make it less sticky or else you’ll be taking half of your face off with it.
And one more thing… For all of you who are going to say, “Oh, how much are you getting paid to say that??” ย I randomly bought this with my own money at Jeffre Scott Apothecary. So there. ๐
Emily, thank you!!! I swear, your little sketch of ‘eye liner gone wrong’ is what happens to me alllllll the time! Ugh! I am going to look up the price of this! I loved the end of your post too! haha
Me too! There’s a link under the picture and at the bottom of the page that will tell you the price ๐ You’ll love it!
Lol cracked me up! Especially the last part… So there! Hope to see your face soon for your glo!
We NEED a video tutorial on pretty much everything to do with your makeup ASAP ๐ ….please?
I know! I want to but I’m too scared! I’m not a makeup artist and probably do everything totally wrong haha
Thank you for the recommendation! I have been half-in-the-market but a little too frightened of liquid (after a few experiences like that pic up there) to commit and buy. With being a matron of honor at an outside wedding this summer (in Texas, in late June, AND at 34 weeks pregnant), I need a liner that WILL NOT MOVE.
Thanks!
I wish I could use liquid but I always end up with more on my eyelashes than on my lid. I am a cake eyeliner/gel eyeliner kind of gal. But am always willing to try one more.
I’m the same way but this brush is so small and it makes it so much easier!
Love this eyeliner!!!! What about mascara? What’s ur top pick for that? I am an eyelash junkie and love mascara.
*curious* about the scotch tape trick. Can you share the link to the video? Great blog. Getting ready for work and your “eyeblink” was my wednesday morning xoxo
Here’s the link– http://www.elle.com/beauty/makeup-skin-care/liquid-eyeliner-tape-trick-how-to#slide-1 I’ll try to do a video!
Emily, this is a great post! I recently switched over to a liquid pen eyeliner, Tart. It is great but its not waterproof! If you have even the slightest watery eyes it will disappear. I will definitely look into the Blinc. How was the removal of the eyeliner?

I was able to remove it with Neutrogena eye makeup remover
I got permanant eyeliner done last year and its the best thing ever. It cuts time down alot, I just put on my eye shadow and mascara and Im ready. The best part is waking up with it always there. I got it alittle lighter than I normally wear so I dont look made up all the time and I can always add eyeliner for a more dramatic look. No more liquid eyeliner frenzy for me:)
As a MUA, this is the best liquid liner on the market! Also, the scotch tape trick comes in handy for eyeshadow “neatness” as well. Use it to give your eyeshadow a crisp edge (and also collect those shadow pieces that fall on your face without streaking your face makeup). Thanks Emily for sharing!
Hi Emily,
I haven’t commented before but I just wanted to say I literally crack up every time I read your posts.. you’re an excellent writer and you have great content ๐ I have this feeling like even though I don’t know you personally, that I can trust the items you recommend and they aren’t going to waste my time. And for this hatersโฆ just keep killing them with your kindness xo. I will definitely be purchasing this! I love all your tips and posts and keep them coming!
Congrats on the engagement and the did bit of advice that I had from your previous post wasโฆ.. “take people’s help on the wedding day if they offer, you can’t micro manage everything. The Wedding Day WILL be perfect, just enjoy the moment and enjoy your future.” Best Wishes xo
Emily, thank you for this post! I am an avid liquid liner girl, but am always looking for one that is *perfect*. This looks pretty close! Can you tell me – is the tip firm or more flexible? Some are too flexible, more like a brush, and those to me are more difficult to control.
Thanks!
It’s firm almost like an ink pen
Thanks for the post… is the brush thin thin or just a felt tip ?
It’s a thin brush
Couldn’t agree with you more about blinc. They also make a fabulous mascara and a wonderful eyebrow filler. Much love and continued blessings <3.
Emily this is the best post I think ever!!! I was in desperate need of a good liquid liner. Now I have to say, I’ve been using Elf liquid liner for years now and it’s wonderful, with all these expensive and high end products out there, it’s amazing how such a great product line is so reasonable. As amazing as it is, I’ve always wanted to tweak it a bit and make the tip more like the tip of a pen. And by Emily’s explanation, Blink sounds like just what I am looking for. I’ll give this a try for sure. So I’ll give my cheap-y Elf eyeliner a little break for now ๐ By the way I saw a comment on here about getting tattos of permanent eyeliner. That could be something to consider but until then! Thank you Emily you are an amazing role model in so many ways. You really listen and talk and just communicate with your fans and I think that’s why so many people admire you and look up to you. You are the epitome of grace and intelligence and class. Thanks to role models like you, more and more girls have perfect role models to look up to. You have definitely been an inspiration of mine, and not just with fashion and beauty ๐ thank you Em!

Hi Emily! I got my first Blinc eyeliner today. It is great. How long this product last in use? Weeks, months? Your blog is awesome and you are so beautiful. โฅ
Thanks so much! You’re going to love your new eyeliner. I’ve had mine for about 2 months and its still working!
I’ll definitely have to try the Scotch tape deal. I haven’t tried that liner yet. Liquid liner has always been SUPER intimidating for me. Every time I bought a new one to try, I sweared I would never do it again. Kat Von D tattoo ink liner is $18 and has the same brush concept as the Blinc. It’s a thicker brush, but the end tapers out so you can make the precise little lines. I feel like I’d goof up using a thinner brush – I would be the cartoon haha. The best part is that it’s easily removed at night, but I’ve worn it for 18+ hours before and it doesn’t bleed at all. One tube (pen? I’m not sure what to call this) lasts me 3-4 months.
Eyeliner is one part of the make-up is very important! By wearing eyeliner, you can make your appearance more fresh and firm. Unfortunately, many women are still difficulties in wearing eyeliner. thanks :))
I just bought this eyeliner and Love it! Do You use it on both top and bottom lasH line, or just the top? Thanks!!
