EVE LOM CLEANSER: Nordstrom

Review: Eve Lom Cleanser

September 25, 2013 by emily 20 Comments

I’m a creature of habit. I find a product that I like and I stick with it through thick and thin, so for me to switch cleansers is a pretty big deal. But after trying Eve Lom Cleanser, I’m hooked.

I have combination skin but since using Retin-A my face tends to be more on the drier side, especially in the winter. After just a few nights of using Eve Lom Cleanser I can already see a difference in my skin. It’s more hydrated, brighter, and just feels cleaner. I will say that the process is a bit time consuming, but totally worth it. You take just a drop of the cleansing balm and rub it all over your dry face. It literally melts your makeup off your skin! Then, you take the muslin cloth that comes with the cleanser, soak it in hot water, and then hold it on your skin for a few seconds. Repeat this step about three times and all your makeup, even your waterproof mascara, will be gone!

I only use it at night and still use my Clarisonic and Cerave Cleanser in the morning, and have honestly seen the biggest difference. And did I mention Vogue magazine named it the #1 cleanser in the world? With that said, it’s may not be great for those with super sensitive skin because some of the ingredients could irritate your skin. But just like everything else, the only way you’ll know is by trying it and I’m definitely glad I did!

LOVE your beauty product reviews Emily! I buy almost every item you post about! I also have skin on the drier side and I’ve been using La Roche Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cream Cleanser religiously for like 5 years. However, your skin is amazing and I definitely plan on checking this out!

Do you only use your Clarisonic once a day?

Yes only once since it would irritate my skin too much to use it twice.

I have never heard of this brand before but it sounds pretty good and I am always looking in trying something new. I have sensitive skin that’s prone to breaking out when trying a new products so I am always a little leary..

Hi Emily! I love all the products you’ve reviewed. I really want to try this cleanser but there are a lot of parabens listed. Does that concern you? I’m currently breastfeeding and I’m nervous to try anything that would be dangerous for the baby. Thanks!

Emily do you notice a difference using your Clarisonic in the morning instead of at night? I feel like that would be a much better option since it’ll help our make-up go on so much more amazing. And can you use this new eve lom cleanser with the Clarisonic ? Or not a chance?
    Thanks !!

Can you use this cleanser with your clarisonic instead of the sponge it comes with?

I use the Eve Lom at night with a washcloth or the cloth that comes with it. I use my Clarisonic in the morning with a gentle cleanser.

Emily do you find using the Clarisonic in the morning makes a difference? It would make sense to me that it would be a big difference for our make-up to go on a lot nicer after using the Clarisonic in the morning. Also can you use the eve lom cleanser with the Clarisonic? Or is that totally out of the question?
    Thanks so much emily!

I can see the biggest difference in my skin when I use my Clarisonic vs. when I don’t. I only use it once a day though and wouldn’t use it with the Eve Lom since the texture is more of an oil than a soap. Does that make sense?

Do you use your Retin-A or other acne products after you use the Eve Lom cleanser? I use salycylic wipes and Epiduo and was wondering if I could still use those after using this cleanser? Thanks!

Do you use a toner after? It says you don’t need to but I have noticed such a big difference in my skin since starting to use a toner. Love your beauty posts, hate my bank account after:)

    Hi Emily,
I loved the way Eve Lom worked for me, as well, but I couldn’t get over the smell. If they ever make an unscented version I will be the first in line to buy it! I love your website!

I would not use Cerave or Eve Lom cleansers because they both contain parabans!
