Queen of the Amazon

July 11, 2016 by emily 42 Comments

I’m sure your husband has a cute nickname for you, right? Well mine calls me “Queen of the Amazon” solely based on how many Amazon Prime packages come to the house on a weekly (ahem.. daily..) basis. So, in honor of my cardboard box overflowing trashcan, I’m bringing you my favorite, not as well known, must haves!

1- Salux Nylon Japanese Beauty Wash Cloth–  Do you ever buy something and then wonder what you did without it for so long? To say I’m obsessed with these wash cloths is an understatement. First of all, if you spray tan, this thing is a MUST before and after. Splotchy spray tan is a good look on no one and this gets rid of it without having to scrub your skin off. Second, I have Keratosis Pilaris on the back of my arms, which basically just means it looks like I have goosebumbs even when it’s 100 degrees outside. Since using this they have almost completely disappeared!

2- Baby Foot Peel– Summertime does a number on my feet and it’s not cute. Sadly, using this foot peel is even less cute; however, if you can make it through your feet literally shedding off layer by layer for a few days I promise it will be so worth it. Just soak your feet for  a few minutes, then slide on these little plastic socks for about 45 minutes. It says your feet should start peeling a few days later, but mine didn’t start until about a week later. One of these days I’ll be brave enough to post the picture I took, but until then just take my word for it. THEY WORK. Don’t do this during the summer unless you plan on staying home for 3-4 days!

3- Dr. Tung’s Tongue Cleaner– Do I really need to explain this one? It gets all that gross stuff your toothbrush leaves behind and makes your mouth feel super fresh. You’ll never know you needed one until after you’ve used it.

4- Cotton Squares– This one is definitely more of a luxury because regular cotton balls work just fine, but I have had a bag for almost a year and still have plenty left. I like these because not only are they softer than regular, they absorb my makeup remover better and take my eyeliner off with one swipe. If you have eyelash extensions these are great for taking off your eyeshadow because they don’t catch on your lashes!

5- Precision Tweezers– These are the only tweezers I use because they will pick up even the tiniest eyebrow. I may or may not use them to pick at my face from time to time as well. Gross, I know. They are super sharp so be careful!

6- Konjac Sponge– I keep this in the shower and don’t even have to use any cleanser. I especially love it for scrubbing off stubborn sunscreen on my face. Also, they sell something similar at Sephora for like, 3 three times the price but I like this brand even better.

What other life changing products do I need to try? My husband would probably tell you to not encourage my Amazon habit, but we’re all in this together, right? Let me know in the comments!

No I don’t do it while I’m pregnant or breast feeding. I didn’t ask my doctor, but just figured I’d rather be cautious.

Fun! The “cure” natural aqua gel is really great for exfoliating your face! The skin litterally piles up after you use it. Its great for self tanning too. It didnt Change the life of my skin though like it promises.

THanks for sharing such fun under-the-radar finds, emily! They are now all in my cart. Amazon is amazing…especially with babies. The amount of packages we get can be a little EMBARRASSING though… 😉

I have KP on my arms which is super FRUSTRATING. I thought I had tried everything until last year I discovered the Glytone Exfoliating body wash and lotion. If used daily it works incredibly well! I would suggest checking it out if you haven’t used it before (and I’m sure you could use it in CONJUNCTION with the beauty wash cloth). I usually get mine from dermstore.com or lovelyskin.com (i’m a huge medical grade skincare junkie 🙂 – but I looked and it’s also on amazon!

Have you had any problems with sellers on amazon sending you knockoffs? There are several negative ratings for the salux wash cloth for this reason. I’m trying to figure out how to avoid that.

ordered the tweezers! i needed a good pair of tweezers; thanks for the reco!. my random amazon purchase is for dry skin on my feet. i hate putting thick greasy salve/cream on with my hands so i found a product on amazon that is hands-free. it comes in a ‘stick’ like deodorant, so you just twist the base and it goes up/down. you just put it direct on your feet without having to touch your hands to it. i keep it in the drawer by my bed and put it on at night when i get into bed. then i don’t have to worry about washing off any greasy salve from my hands! and besides being hands-free, the stuff really works well on my skin. you know when your feet are so dry your skin looks white (gross, i know)? it got rid of that for me. there is still some dryness i can see up close but my feet look pretty in sandals, etc without the embarrassing white skin. the brand is called ‘the naked bee’ and the product is called ‘restoration foot balm.’ smells really good too, which is a bonus.
